1799 – Gate Lodge, Northland House, Dungannon, Co. Tyrone

Architect: Robert Woodgate

0134

The gate lodge of Northland House is all that survives today of the ancestral home of the Earls of Ranfurly in Dungannon. Presumed to be the work of Robert Woodgate who carried out extensions to the main house circa 1799. The House was completely demolished in 1931. The decorative falcons (part of the family crest) that once stood on either side of the gate lodge are now long gone as are the mature trees. The site is now a school.

Map is being rolled out, not all buildings are mapped yet.
