Built in the grounds of Cullies House, an eighteenth-century country house which was demolished c.1980. Designed in 1869, but construction didn’t start until 1871. Built in local sandstone with brick dressings, the building is of three storeys with projecting ends and centre. Quite austere, relief is from the corner staircases with their change in fenestration rhythm.
