Architect: McKim, Mead and White
The Savoy-Plaza Hotel was constructed in 1927 on 5th Avenue between 58th and 59th Street, and demolished in 1964. A very elegant, formal, design that culminated in two tall chimneys, it was directly across Fifth Avenue from the Plaza Hotel. Now the site of the General Motors Building.
