Front & Side Elevation published in The Building News, March 22nd 1872: “Theresis insufficient repose in the United to expect much good art either in anything else. The illustration we give of in Brucon street, Boston, US., looks certainly like a quaint bit of finished French architecture than a product of American growth; yet such, and Mr. Crace and Mr. Van Brunt are the architects. Nothing would give us greater satisfaction than to give from time to time such specimens of American architecture”.
