From The Architect, January 9, 1875: We give this week a design submitted in competition for the Grocers’ Company’s School at Hackney, under the motto “Simple.” The materials proposed for the exterior were red brick, with Bath stone dressings, mullions, &c., and Broselcy tiles for roofs. The author of the design is Mr. W.C. Brangwyn, 6 John Street, Adelphi.
