2005 will see a lot more announcements than recent years I think both in buildings and infrastructural projects.

The major ones I’ll be looking at in 2005

Work will begin on the Phoenix park tunnel
Ennis- Athenry as per above
Completion of the M1 to Newry
Completion of the M4 to Kinnegad
The M3 will spend the year in the 4 Courts
Martin Cullen is at best 50% to survive
A second terminal will be announced at Dublin Airport
Cargo growth will accelerate at Shannon
Knock will actually handle 500,000 passengers for the first time

General trends

Office building will resume across all the major cities in Ireland on a scale not seen since 2000, taller buildings will be passed at transport nodes. Design quality will improve
