I still remember how cool i though the cranes were when i was a kid. Raleigh Ireland used to be on Hanover Quay, and my dad would go to dublin a couple of thursday a month, and in the summer i’d tage along for the ride. There was still a lot of the cranes there, even though they were no longer used. I loved the decay of the area – even Raleigh was a small shadow of its past – they had a major fire in the early 70s and the manufacturing element had ceased.
