1. Historic Balnagowan House (originally called Wendon), Glasnevin, Dublin.
This large historic building on more than one acre was originally built as a home for a Dublin builder by London architect Harold Greenwood in 1930. Now it’s being sold for commercial use.
Built of pre-cast concrete blocks with steel windows, it has a flat roof covered with Ruberoid.
It was the classic modern home which was highly unusual for its time, with internal telephones, a fridge, dining and carving tables fitted with electric hot-plates, concealed lighting and fitted furniture.
