1790s – Newport House, Co. Mayo

An historic Georgian house built over several periods, in gardens and park adjoining the town and overlooking the Newport river. Originally constructed in the late 18th century, and possibly incorporating fabric from an earlier house, it was later extended in the first quarter of the 19th century. Now an hotel.
