1880s – Hothouses, Seamount, Malahide, Co. Dublin

Architect: MacKenzie and Moncur

2456

Large range of hothouses constructed for the Jameson family at their home at Malahide. The glasshouses, by MacKenzie and Moncur, were carefully dismantled by Fingal Council staff after the current owners of the Jameson Estate, the Treacy Family donated the structures to the Council in the early 1990s. They remained in storage for almost 30 years before being re-erected at Ardgillan Castle.
