Designed by Seymour Rice and Ronald Tallon (later of Scott Tallon Walker) while staff of the Office of Public Works. The main public office has an airy bright interior with a large area of glazing. The façade is stark and unadorned except for the small projecting canopy over the tall windows that light the interior staff stairwell. The entrance projects from the glazing in a granite surround.
