Based on plans by George Blaiklock, the first Neo-classical architect in Quebec, the Conservatoire d’art dramatique was originally built as Trinity Chapel-of-ease. Paid for by the Chief Justice Jonathan Sewell as a result in the increase of the English speaking population in the years after 1800.
