The Orpheum Theatre was one of the chain of Orpheum Theatres across Canada and the United States.
Demolished in 2008, the rendered facade concealed the remains of the original ornate classical design.
Designed by B. Marcus Priteca of Seattle,
The original Starland Theatre operated on Main Street from 1911,
Opened on 24 Dec 1931, the interior of the theatre was gutted in 1960 and was turned into a bowling alley.
The Manitoba Theatre Centre was designed in the Brutalist style designed by local architect Allan Waisman of Number Ten Architectural Group with input from the MTC artistic director Eddie Gilbert.
