In the 1960s the Mercy Order decided to build new schools at Military Road.
Designed to replace the original North Station which opened in 1864.
Opened in the 1960s, the hotel had 160 beds and was the premier destination for visitors to the city for many years.
Built on the site of Bishop Foy School which closed in 1967.
