The Town Hall is situated on the south side of the Market Square.
The original town hall was built in the seventeenth century on the site of a private mansion called Hamerton Hall,
When Hamilton Square in Birkenhead was designed in the early 19th century,

Quite a dour brick structure in a Gothic style.
Now a McDonalds outlet, the former Townhall was commissioned by the 11th Earl of Meath to look down the main street of Bray.
