At opening in 1911 this was the first school in Edmonton built exclusively for high school students.
Former convent and school run by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
Founded in 1912 as Kelvin Technical High School,
Seen here before the addition of the extra storey of 1939 flattened the highly original composition.
Designed by provincial architect Victor Horwood and constructed between 1912 and 1913.
With separate entrances for boys and girls,
Constructed for select vestry of Willowfield parish,
