The former Central Normal School served as the headquarters for teacher training for more than forty years,
Now Devizes Grammar School. The school was built in Bath Road in 1906 by Wiltshire County Council at a cost of about £7,000.
In 1906, the School Board constructed a school at the site where École Provencher stands today.
