When it opened in 1896, it was known as the Collegiate Institute and Ontario Normal College.
Constructed in 1896, and designed by local architect Charles H.
Now a community resource centre, this Victorian building was constructed as boys and girls national schools in 1895-97.
“These schools, which cost 1,390,
“Ox Wednesday next, the 22nd inst.,
The church, costing £5,000, was of English Gothic architecture with the front facade being flanked with a square tower,
