Built in 1774 by Belfast Charitable Society, the building was used until the late 1880’s as Belfast’s Poor House.

In 1773 the Limerick county and city Grand Juries came together with a budget of 500 pounds to build a poorhouse on land donated by the local Bishop.
Oldmill was an Aberdeen reformatory set up in 1857 and occupied by about 150 boys. Closed in 1898.
