1815 – Philipstown Mill, Dundalk, Co. Louth In 1815 James Kieran and his brother William built Philipstown Mills, approximately three miles from Dundalk at a cost of £30,000 –
1830 – Merchant’s Quay, Drogheda, Co. Louth This handsome former corn and flour mill displays the balanced proportions and fine detailing typical of nineteenth century architectural developments.
1845 – Corrigan’s or Emy Mill, Co. Monaghan Corrigan’s or Emy Mill is located about a half mile to the south of Mullan. This impressive ten storey mill was probably built as a spinning mill originally.
1866 – Braidwater Spinning Mill, Ballymena, Co. Antrim Architect: Thomas Jackson Now demolished, the Braidwater Mill was established in 1865 and employed generations from the town and surrounding areas.
