The Quart Towers were a part of this old Christian city wall build in the 14th century but the towers are from the 15th century.

Work began on the Augustinian foundation in Galway in the early 1500s.
1650 – Hillsborough Fort, Hillsborough, Co. Down
Artillery fort built in 1650 by Colonel Arthur Hill – the Hill family built the village of Hillsborough starting with the fort.
1680 – Royal Hospital Kilmainham, Dublin

The Royal Hospital Kilmainham is a mile and a half west of the city centre and at the time of its construction the site was part of the Phoenix Park.

1701 – Collins Barracks, Arbour Hill, Dublin

Collins Barracks is the oldest inhabited barracks in Europe and once one of the largest.
1782 – Former Barracks, Clonmel, Co. Tipperary
Built as Clonmel Infantry Barracks between 1780 and 1782 and renamed Victoria Barracks in honour of Queen Victoria in 1837.
