Samuel Bridgman Russell and Sir Thomas Edwin Cooper were in partnership in London from the early 1900s until 1912.
Built 1907 on Alexandra Road, Swadlincote but was demolished in the 1960s as “a victim of mining subsidence”.
The Mitchell Library was established with a bequest from Stephen Mitchell,
