John H.G. Russell (1863-1946)
John Hamilton Gordon Russell (1863-1946) came to Winnipeg in 1882, setting up architectural practice in 1895. He served as the First Vice-President (1906) and President (1910) of the Manitoba Association of Architects. He designed many Winnipeg landmarks including Presbyterian or United Churches. Uncle of G. Leslie Russell (1901-1977) who founded Green Blankstein Russell Associates.
