The octagonal bandstand was erected by the fundraising efforts of Dublin Metropolitan Police to commemorate Queen Victoria’s Jubilee.

Small timbered tearoom with a tiled roof. The original verandah has now been absorbed into the internal space.
The original building was designed by James Owen of the Board of Works to provide education to all demoninations between 1857-63.
