Hospital block added to the existing District Asylum designed by John Bennie Wilson in 1906.
Still largely as designed, although the wings have been raised in height.

The hospital started circa 1898 when the Soeurs de Misericorde from Montreal founded a mission in Winnipeg to care for single mothers and their children.
Founded as the George V Hospital and designed by the Royal Engineers of the British Army,
Originally built as the Galt Hospital, the building has now found new purpose as part of the Galt Museum in Lethbridge.
Winning design in an architectural competition to design a hospital building for Consumptives at the Royal Hospital for Incurables in Dublin.
