Before the formation of AIB, this was known as the Royal Bank. The exterior is fairly straight forward classicism with a good neo-classical porch added in 1850.
Demolished in the 1960s to make way for a new office block for the parent company Royal Insurance.
Built on the site of the Liverpool, London & Globe Insurance Co., which Royal Insurance had taken over in 1919.
