Department of Public Works (Canada)

The Department of Public Works was based in Ottawa and took responsibility for designing Government buildings across Canada including armouries, post offices, custom buildings and others as needed.

Chief Architects of the department were Thomas Seaton Scott (1826-1895), Thomas Fuller (1823-1898), David Ewart (1841-1921), E.L. Horwood (1868–1957), Richard C. Wright (1860–1927), and Thomas W. Fuller (1865-1951).
