Foundation stone was laid 4th October 1903 with the church dedication 4 September 1904.
The St. Mary’s Hall was completed 1904 for concerts and assemblies and also contained a billiard hall.
Probably designed by T.F. McNamara, former partner of William Hague,
Odd castle-like school, a fortress of catholicism,
Presbyterian church originally built to seat 782.
