The site for the church was a gift from Lord Portarlington,
Still in use today, it was described at the time of its completion as a ‘very neat little church’.
Built to seat 400 in an Early French Gothic,
By the middle of the nineteenth century,
In summer 2020, planning permission was granted to renovate and revamp the chapel,
Both the church and the priory were designed by local architect John Murray.
Built in two phases,
The Foundation Stone of the Church was laid on 26 August 1865 by James Sherman Crawford,
A relatively straight forward Palladian facade with projecting Corinthian portico,
