Bill O’Dwyer

Bill O’Dwyer worked for and from Michael Scott’s office for a couple of years mainly on cinema design. He continued to specialise in cinemas, being responsible for many of the Ormonde chain of film theatres. The Ormonde chain was based around south County Dublin and Wicklow.

The Ritz Cinema in Athlone (1939) is attributed to Scott but was in fact designed by Bill O’Dwyer who was working and studying in the office of Michael Scott at that time.

Modern residence constructed on a steeply sloping site in Killiney using the site topography to clearly build a low two-storey house.
