An unusual looking department store in the main shopping district of Tours.
The Savoy-Plaza Hotel was constructed in 1927 on 5th Avenue between 58th and 59th Street,
A large canopy over the entrance signaled the Plaza,
At streetlevel the hotel seems to be a large formidable mass but eventually narrows for the tower where each floor has only one apartment.
Designed in the Beaux-Arts style,
An obelisk of hammered granite with dressed angles standing on a base reached by three steps.
