Ardfert, Co. Kerry, the Crosbie Estate, constructed circa 1720 by Sir Maurice Crosbie and further altered about 1830.
Originally built 1845-47 for Sir William Fownes to designs by Francis Bindon.
The original Fitzgerald castle was granted to the Courtenay family in 1591.
A middle to late 18th century house built for Henry Prittie MP,
A three-storey Georgian house, of 1779, built for George Young. Probably replaced an earlier house in the area as Robert Young first arrived in 1640 as rector of Culdaff Parish.
Around 1811, Lady Catherine Hutchinson-Bernard, commissioned architect James Pain to extend their existing castle in a gothic style to its present size.
In 1823, after his succession to his title,
St. Austin’s Abbey was built in the 1850’s by Charles Henry Doyne youngest son of Robert Doyne.
