In 1914 a new building for the Winnipeg Tribune newspaper company was designed by leading local architect John D.
A station was first opened on the site on June 1,
Opened in 1914, it served as a replacement for the original Union Depot which opened in 1878.
Installed to commemorate one Emily Margaret Waddell.
The building was severely damaged by fire in May 1971,
