Simple rectangular plan with chamfered corners to the main facade. The external design is mostly limited to that main facade with large areas of stained-glass. According to an interview with the architect in a local newspaper, this was his first major project. “It was the early 60s, and there wasn’t much money, but the work on the church led to more work for me,” he said. “You always had to design down towards a budget, and everything had to be simple and straightforward, and I did things like a reconstruction of the parish church in Clara, and worked on the parish house in Kilbeggan. I was good at budgeting, which was the most important part of the work.”
