Rogers and Foster in shortlist to build £40m Clyde bridge
The best known architects in Britain have been shortlisted to design a new “living” bridge across the River Clyde which will cost around £40m. Practices headed by Norman Foster and Richard Rogers are among the six firms through to the final stage of the competition to create a bridge for cyclists and pedestrians which is decked with bars and restaurants. The shortlist for the link between Tradeston and Broomielaw, unveiled yesterday, also includes Glasgow-based companies McKeown Alexander Architects and Gordon Murray and Alan Dunlop Architects.
