It reminds me of SOM’s Gas Company building in Los Angeles, but this is a pretty poor imitation. I would be interested in how deep the plan/section is and what the material/finish will be?

I resent Finn Harps being brought into this argument. Being premier divison you have a whole division of teams below them to pinpoint as being sub-standard.
But with the gaffer Gavin Dykes turning his back on mediocre international stars like Avidu & Nesovic (failing to give 100% but have so much potential), and opting for home grown talent like Kevin McHugh (who has grabbed this oppurtunity and produced some sterling performances)I think the parallels between this discussion, and soccer on these islands has been cleverly pointed out by Greg F
PS Avidu is from a Kosovon background and Nesovic from a Serbia. For some reason they never struck up the right relationship
I’m new in town and am interested in attending lectures, building visits etc
I was wondering if the AAI has published
its events for the forthcoming season and will it posted on the net around the same time
Also when will the new riai site reopen?

Any images of new scheme on other side of square
i thought the structure along the north quay wall was there to clean the walls (joking)
I have serious reservations about this scheme, not with the design, but with its reasoning and its use.
Too little space on the north quay pushes pedestrians out over the water…
and what will be located on it but bookstalls i believe…????
least sheltered area of city….north quay
all makes snese to me????
There is the issue of offices being too busy to submit details of their work, and consequently not get mentioned in either set of awards.
A number of buildings of merit have failed to be recognised over the last few years and I wonder if there is a way of involving the public or the end-user in the judgement of these awards.
