As posted on another thread I can 99% confirm that many of the seats at the very back of the upper tier will have restricted views of the far side of the pitch. This comes as a big disappointed & seems like a pathetic mistake to have taken place

Going by the stadium on the Dart the other day i noticed they have built what looks like a mock up of the cladding. Its fixed to a steel structure on the left off the train tracks heading in towards the city. From what i could make out the cladding just looked like large glass louvres but it was half covered and the train passed it quite quickly so i didnt get a good look. In reality it didnt seem as reflective or shiny as its depicted in the 3d images.
Has anyone else seen this or been able to get a better look at it?

My source is on the design team for the Watchtower so it is reliable.

The Watchtower basement slab is in place but there are still some issues with internal layouts n uses. Expect to see some real progress by the end of the summer I would imagine.

I was on the Copenhagen metro just last week and it is extremely bland and indescript.

Ideally, i would like to see a bit of expression but into the design of the individual stations but at least leaving them bare faced now paves the way for future fit-outs and perhaps even competions for artistry and individualism in the stations…correct me if im wrong but weren’t Paris’ art nouveau metro station entrances an after design?

I’d prefer the stations to be ordinary now with the possibility of being attractive later rather then rushing a cr*p fit-out. We do need to get the thing built urgently to ease some congestion and provide the link to the airport

Not sure if anyone has seen this artical before but its quite interesting, although, it still sheds no light on when construction will begin

Yeah i’v noticed this house alot recently-its a bit of a mixed up style. Aparently as soon as Eddie Irvine seen it complete he hated it and put it straight up for sale-not sue what truth there is in that though.
It really stands out like a sore thumb but at the same time i’d love to see inside and what views it commands because its a decent elevated spot.
Anyone know if an architect was involved or is it something Eddie envisaged from his globe trotting?

Also can anyone explain the type of construction being used on the 5* hotel in the background of the photo above-its a huge steel frame around the concrete cores

Hey i was down at this new space recently, it quite interesting that they’d go ahead and finish this before the theatre has even started. Havnt made up my mind whether its tacky or kinda cool..only time will tell i guess.

Can anyone explain to me though what the stairs going under the plaza lead to? a public toilet perhaps? The stairs are in the steel feature on the right hand side of ake’s first photo?? (obviously not to clear from such a distance but anyone who’s been down there should know what im on about)

just seen according to the sky scraper news page DE was cancelled..wonder why? is it common for developers to go through the expenses of employing architects to draw up plans and do detailed renders and recieve permission and then not go through with it? I assume it adds value to a site ect

Hey im new to this forum but im quite interested in all the recent developements in the docklands and im very curious into why no work has started on this U2 tower yet
Surely the plan of the U2 tower and the watchtower by the point as a gateway will be spoilt if this also goes ahead

    http://www.oms.ie/

    or has this been scrapped?

It all seems like a bit of a mess-as if they forgot about this proposal above when planning the U2 tower or something!
Anyone shed some light because im very confused with this situation
    Cheers
