ParticipantMany thanks frt the links. That is exactly what I wanted. Now I’ll have some time analysing this data.
And I’m still curious about what do local architects think about foreigners comming to take their job away. Although it is not the same as the flood of imigrant workers, but it should give some thoughts anyway. There are plenty of architects here, so getting a job and keeping it is quite hard. Not mentioning all the postgraduates, that need jobs too.
Yet another (uncomfortable to ask) thing.. What fees should be concidered averige, low or good for particular duties in ireland? I really have no idea…sarcastic
ParticipantOh, i am sorry if i made you think that way, I really didn’t mean to say that there was noone to care about thouse deeds.
I just wanted to note, that in my country this institution often pays alot of atention to souch things. Unfortunately there are cases, when the building or particular place is left to decay, instead of letting to modrenise it in some gentle way..sarcastic
ParticipantI am amazed, how a country of the same size manages so well! I respec you.
I had already found some sites posting job offers, this one seems to be an even more convenient one.
I my self am not a usual post graduate, I have already been working as an architect, even on my own, for 3 years , if to put all the work time together.
Yet i wonder hol irishmen treat this concurency, though not so notable..sarcastic
ParticipantWe have here the departament of protection of cultural heritage in Lithuania. They are fierce protectors of everything in the list. Sometimes the prevent some changes, that in fact are really needed. But i can swerar, they would never ever allow souch a blasphemy here 🙂

ParticipantI must admit, I do not know yet what it is like in Ireland (but I shall soon find that out), but here in Lithuania an architect usualy must know and do ALL the work, from A to Z. Visualisation expert is not capable and should not influence the flow of design. Visualisation is ment to show the vision of the designer, the creator, in the most realistic way. Sometimes it has to be a candy, whaen a competition must be won or an investor should be seduced. I must admit, taht I would be greately dissappointed and angered if a visualisationist made his work by the way he/she feels it is best.
So, all in all. Computer graphics is a vonderfull thigie, when expressing the idea. It sometimes is useful even to me, when i want to get a better understanding of what shall the whole look like.sarcastic
ParticipantAll i know about making visualisations I learned all by my self. If there are enterprises that make these things- there must be a demand for them.
What is viz for? Simple- to show architecturaly uneducated people what they othervise wouldn’t understand. Once I made a 3d just to prove my customer, that a green roof is a no-no in that case.

Some of visualisations i made. Not the best of them though. Mostly made in a rush- “I want it done yesterday” style :]- AuthorPosts
