However Heuston is probably busier and I have always found that to be in pristine condition.

Connolly is far busier than Heuston, Connolly having a Dart line running through it as well as mainline (Belfast, Sligo, Wexford/Rosslare Europort) , northern commuter (drogheda, Dundalk), southern commuter (Gorey, Arklow etc) and western (Maynooth) commuter lines!

I hope they keep the placque there to Thomas Barnado who was born in a building that once occupied the site years ago. He’s famous for promoting the cause of childrens welfare and was also an Orangeman.

And according to conspiracy theorists he was also Jack the Ripper

(along with the entire British Royal Family – who are shape shifting lizards appearently)

Spooky Image above – it looks like the spire has ghosted into view above the buildings on the left about 140 years early

The handbags at dawn award for best (and probably most petty) online argument

Pity they chose a North facing quay for that image – as I remember Merchants Quay is definitely one of the colder quays…

If you want mature trees go to the Phoenix Park or the Wicklow Mountains

Not saying get crims to do it – get ordinary litterers to do it and enforece it properly.

Best advert for how fucking useless some people are – 2 years ago saw Joe Skanger sitting on a bin on Talbot St drinking a coke, finishes can, fucks it on the ground not even into the bin he is sitting on!!! Would have said something except he looked like he would kill me when I went to do so…

Wouldn’t you love to see the likes of that having to collect rubbish for a week

I’ve said this before but the best way to deal with the litter problem is the way that they did it in primary school – litter duty! If you are caught you have to spend a week picking up rubbish/cleaning graffiti – if you have to take the week off work to do so all the better as it means you will miss out on a week’s holidays – rest assured after a week you’ll never do it again!

What gives with new bridge? What’s the point? It’s so near t’other one up by IFSC that it seems to me all it saves is a 2 minute walk.

Why didn’t they build it further east?

as an ex IFSC’r this bridge cuts ages off a walking commute – it’s in exactly the right location as it provides a speedy link between the IFSC and Westland Row Merrion Sq etc.

Anyway when the Calatrava goes up there will be another crossing at Macken St

Using the structure of taking select phrases from this forum as the author of the article has for his piece, may I suggest (in a complete random order): “Irish Examiner” “slow news day” “shit” “Ian English” “phooey” “mistruth”

Of course these are just random words and phrases but should someone make a sentence out of them that is pure conjecture

The developer of the Dundrum Centre has just bought 50% of the Ilac – perhaps some innovation will be brought to the redevelopment?

    1. Abuse is often as bad as libel. It corrodes civilized debate and interaction – its hostile nature tends to silence those who

    2. Libel is libel whether it’s in audio-visual form, in print or by other electronic means.

Point 2 first if I may – The man was sent to prison for prison for tax evasion, ergo he is a crook. Therefore to call Mr Burke a crook or an ex-jailbird is perfectly legal. Therefore to do so is not libel – the truth is not libel in any means he cannot sue me or archeire for this once it has been proved in a court of law that the man was a crook.

On point 1 – abuse is abuse and not libelous. True its not the finer point of debate – but it is fun! As this is a forum I don’t see how anyone could be intimidated by a few words on screen, its not as if they are screaming abuse to your face.

He’s still a crook by the way

How can calling Rambo Burke a crook be libellous when it’s been proved in a court of Law?

You can call him a right crooked bollocks if you want – abuse isn’t libellous!

Why don’t you see who are the landholders along the N3 route – read it and weep, looks like a Ard Fheis guest list and I won’t say for which party, but (large hint) there seems to be a lot of developers there
