I like the extra pictures that were posted and I have to say it’s a great idea. I quite like it. It would certainly be a place I’d enjoy visiting. It should go well with the other plans for the area. It gets a thumbs up from me. It should look great at night according to those images.
PepsiParticipantI like this as well. The green area does look good and the red certainly stands out.
PepsiParticipantYeah, that is annoying. I also noticed them too. As for tearing up new roads, you are right about that one.
PepsiParticipantThe more I think about it the more I think it’s a good idea. We could build up at the port if we wanted to and leave our low rise historical Dublin spots alone. Will it really happen though? I can see lots of people objecting to it, both in the CC and Balbriggan.

PepsiParticipantI see that Kilmore House at Spenser Dock is starting to come along now. Does anyone know what the building is beside it? The building I am talking about has a circular roof at an angle. I haven’t seen it up close so I am a bit unsure.

Pepsi, you cannot compare Dublin to Los Angeles. L.A. is many times bigger than Dublin.
Mashadov, there’s plenty of “green belts” just a few miles from the centre of Dublin. This is where most housing should be built, rather than places like Mullingar etc. But because of the high cost of housing in Dublin, people are being forced out to these areas.
I was only saying what I heard. It was somone else who made this comparison a while back.
PepsiParticipantI was also in that hotel over Christmas and we had something to eat there. I like the fact that it is very different. It’s a very nice hotel.
PepsiParticipantI once heard that if Dublin keeps growing at the rate it has been, by 2010 it will be bigger than Los Angeles. I wonder whether this is true or not?
PepsiParticipantI heard that they will start to build that awful Alto Vetro building next month. Is this true? I don’t like what I have seen of it. I just hope it looks better in reality.
PepsiParticipantI’m not that impressed with it either. It’s not my cup of tea.

Beautiful photographs. Well done.
A happy Christmas to youI agree. Those pictures are great.
PepsiParticipantI have seen it. I don’t know what to make of it though. Mind you, I would prefer Santry Hall to the old flats any day.
PepsiParticipantThat’s an interesting point. I thought I noticed something going on there myself but I was a good bit away from it to be able to tell. Are they working on the actual building?
PepsiParticipantIs that a restaurant I see going on top of Cork County Hall?
PepsiParticipantOne of those buildings shown in the photo is in Toronto.
PepsiParticipantI mentioned above that I would be for the idea but to be honest I can’t see it happening. If they do manage to relocate the port we WILL end up with the same stuff we are already building (Spencer and Grand Canal Dock). I wouldn’t get my hopes up. People will object to the whole thing and most likely win.
PepsiParticipantI would be for that idea too. It seems ambitious.
PepsiParticipantThat is good news. It has taken far too long to do up this street. It is nice to hear that it will be back to normal sooner rather than later.
