KeymasterThe park was jammed on Sunday afternoon. What makes me laugh is Socialist Worker or equivalents sticking posters to street furniture everywhere and then protesting about rates and taxes… like how the hell do they think the city council cleans up after them? the fixtures on Henry Street show all the marks of repeated poster abuse.

KeymasterBack to the bridge, over the weekend there was a trailer parked on Victoria Quay with what looked like a segment of the pedestrain section sitting on it…. Hasnt been any movment on-site for at least the last few weeks so it looks like they’d delivered some more pieces.

KeymasterHow’s the Patrick Street revamp going?
Paul Clerkin
KeymasterThat’s interesting because there is a disused and closed toilets near there… I wonder was the tunnel designed as an escape route…

Keymasterit is indeed time for a holiday… the sights of Paris and the Loire valley await me in August…. so expect photos of chateaux and more parisian buildings on this site…

KeymasterIt doesn’t look temple bar-ish at all… now call me a cynic, dont all rush at once, but does it not look like your bog standard commercial development – throw in a few aspirational items like boards, a boardwalk with cafes and you have a sales pitch…
its a sales pitch… how much of it will be built? the bits that make the developers money
“…and heritage facilities.” yeah like in Smithfield….
“A small hotel and multiplex cinema are also being considered as part of the plan” – yeah right, and will be discounted if we cannot make any money from it….
Don’t equate nice computer 3-d views with reality, hell I could make Liberty Hall seem like the 8th wonder of the world in a computer rendering…

KeymasterTemple Bar-ish is good? 😉

KeymasterActually there is a very good view over the hoarding into the site from the upstairs windows of the McDonalds opposite. Worth wandering in to see.

KeymasterMight have been a pipe of some sort, or the remains of a cellar or something – there were old stores there prior to Busaras on the edge of the Custom House Dock (now filled in – partly under Busaras and the road between it and the IFSC)….
Paul Clerkin
KeymasterLol – would serve them right…..
