    fjp,

    Cracking shots!

Were those night time photo shot on your FujiFilm Finepix 1400?

If they were, they are perfectly exposed & colour balanced, had you much Photoshop work to do on them?

I’m about to purchase the Canon S40 to replace my EOS 650, have you any opinions on this piece of kit?

Or have you any recommendations – portability is an issue for me (I tend to leave the EOS at home), as is having as near to SLR functionality as possible.

    Sorry for all the questions.

The taxi driver made his own way to hospital, where he was treated for a back complaint.

Taxi drivers get wiplash at the drop of a hat.

    Mr. RaB said it all.

Particularly the two on the left side of Gardener St either side of Parnell St. (heading north side)

I have to walk past them everyday and I’d love to know the names of the ‘Architects’ that put these monstrosities up.

Having been left to their own devices the bricklayers would have made a better job of it.

I walked along the Bachelors walk segement last night and very was impressed (must go back for a look @ the finer detail). The finish looked good, the width was of the board walk was impressive & has made that side of the road useable, the benches were comfortable, even to lie on (we tested them). The kiosk did seem like some giant Rubex cube, couldn’t figure out how it opened (must go back with less pints on me).

It definetly will require extra policing, to me a laypersons (I’m not in arhitecture) it seems to like a good idea which works well.

I think ‘TurnOnMyHeel’ raised a good point or at least one I totally agree with:

    >It’ll be the ruin of the country,

I am also of the opinion that the current housing market/developments will be the downfall of our economic success. These badly built box apartments schemes will not suit the needs of there current inhabitants in the years to come. The height of the glass ceiling above them to anything habitable will make them take their skills abroad.

‘Nouveaux Riche’ with its old school authoritive implications of taste/aesthetics is counter creative, less you forget KMarc, Daddy wouldn’t have been able to upgrade his yacht last year without the contribution that the ‘Nouveaux Riche’ have made to our economy
