ParticipantWas i the stadium on Friday last and cannot understand the negative views being expressed on the forum. The stadium is amazing. Aesthetically, it is really full of great features. The sight lines are great even from the upper level and I think most fans will be shocked at the level of comfort all round. The argument that we need 80,000 seats to me is defeated by the fact that at Croke Park, over 10,000 of the capacity is not seated or covered and that so many of the seats are too far from the action on the smaller rugby/football pitch. At the new Landsdowne, it really feels like you are very close to the pitch from every seat.

ParticipantAgree its great to have a number of decent stadiums but disagree fundamentally that we have 2 National stadia – thats a contradiction in terms. Once opened, the Aviva will be our only National stadium. Roll on 2010.

ParticipantWould like to simply see the word IRELAND spelt out in the seat design. Would be nice if Orange could feature also but suspect that in deference to the rugby guys it will be a simple green & white

That’s ridiculous…am I correct in saying you’re not entitled to a view? So what are they complaining about in Montenotte?
Cant see the planners taking any notice of this – wouldnt it be refreshing for permission to be granted without any unnecessary delays

ParticipantAccording to todays Examiner, there has only been one objection to Howard Holdings Atlantic Quarter plan – from some residents in Montenotte – Surprise Surprise. I think its great news and shows how much we all want to actually see this plan happen

ParticipantI believe Greg Coughlan of Howard Holdings made a very impressive presentation about the Docklands in Cork this morning. It seems they will lodge for planning in November for a €2bn scheme which will include the new event centre. he called for a joint approach between all aprties to deal with the port and serveso issues but suggested that the opportunity for Cork docklands will pass if there isnt progress soon

ParticipantBest hoarding I’ve seen in Cork is at Jacobs island. They’ve actually cut into the graphics which gives it look very dramatic against the skyline

ParticipantGreat location! most people chose to walk to the Marquee from town so no reason to expect them to do anything diffrently in the future
