Reinstatting the lawn would be the perfect opportunity for the Greens to make the subject curtilage green in the most literal sense possible.
Can they do it?
Perhaps if someone reminded them that Noel O’Gara has been threatened withh jail for attempting to use Dartmouth Square as a car-park. 🙂

Also the enormous bulk of Agriculture House, as designed by Sam Stephenson, then the largest office block ever built in Ireland.
© fantasyjackpalace.comYou can also see some of “the enormous bulk of Agriculture House” from Merrion Street, as it protrudes above Government Buildings. Harmonious.
molloxParticipantWith acknowledgement to the original anonymous wag, when the spike was first installed, when will we again be able to sing “I can see Clerys now the crane has gone”?🙂
molloxParticipantHow perceptive of you, Angry Rebel. My letter in the Indo (and a variant also published in de paper) was indeed intended to raise the hackles of the citizens of Whingeing Langerland aka Cork. It was inspired by Roy Keane’s latest untimely moan/rant on the eve of a critical qualifier for the national team. The airport terminal was merely a convenient target, lift almost any stone and you’ll find a cork moaner feeling hard done by. Why should the rest of the country have to put up with this schizophrenic superiority/inferiority complex? Incidentally, the Indo edited out the best part of my letter , which originally closed with the following sentiment: “Whingeing langers, the lot of them!”. Regards, Peter
