see the green new 10 point plan
eg
Liffey Boulevard
We will widen footpaths and plant trees along the Liffey Quays between Heuston and the Custom House. Dubliners and visitors to the city will be able to walk or cycle in comfort and safety beside the River Liffey. We’ll seek a car-free Sunday once a month so that families can cycle, roller-blade or walk along the Liffey Quayscar free from college green and all of oconnell street

No, he’s (?) telling you what it comes across as, that’s quite different. Ever tried taking a deep breath, and maybe considering that someone else could possibly be right? “Subtlety of tone” being a major issue on the internet, as you seem to have realised, means that the person “speaking” should be making more of an effort to be correctly understood. If you don’t, then don’t complain that people don’t know what you meant. And if you snap at people and behave rudely, don’t expect the conversation to get anywhere near architecture any time soon.
but i didn’t behave rudely, ctesiphon thought i did and somehow thought it worth mentioning on Morlan’s behalf, you can fuck off too seeing as you having trouble understanding subtlety.I thought i might show him what rudeness is. its up to people on the internet to know its hard to portray tone and therefore not go looking for offence like ctesiphon did., ctesiphon snapped at me first, acting like the matron of archeire when non-one asked him too, especially when i specifically thanked morlan, ctesiphon can fuck off twice as much now.
NOW, back to architecture.

Your tone needs work. ‘thanks but’ does not mean the same thing as ‘thanks’ or even the same thing as ‘thanks, but…’ You may as well have said ‘Thanks for nothing.’
If you wanted colour photos, why didn’t you ask for them?
Perhaps if you took more than 10 seconds to compose your posts…
so your still trying to tell me what i meant, you seem to have trouble catching the subtly of tone across the internet, once again- grammar nazis sticking their nose in can go elsewhere THANKS
back to architecture please

In that case you should have asked Morlan to switch on his mind-reading function.
Seriously, a bit of gratitude wouldn’t go amiss.

If so, post here as I intend adding a new section to Archeire featuring the most hated buildings.
My personal choice is Hawkins House.

lostexpectationParticipantCouncil forced to apply for planning on advertising signs
http://www.dublinpeople.com/content/view/1809/57/
DÚN Laoghaire Rathdown County Council has been forced to row back on plans it had to erect up to 80 advertising structures across the county without planning permission.
But a number of local politicians who pressured the council into the u-turn are still unhappy as officials want to apply for permission to erect the units through a specific procedure that cannot be appealed to An Bord Pleanála.n February, councillors voted to accept a deal with outdoor advertising company, Clear Channel Ireland, that would involve the council erecting 60 on-street advertising ‘six sheet’ structures all over the county.
Under the initial deal the local authority will be paid e10 million over a 10-year period for the sites. But management recently reduced the number of sites to 47.
Two weeks ago it emerged that the council had also signed a deal with another outdoor advertising firm, JC Decaux, to erect a further 30 large ‘metropole’ advert structures, measuring 16 sq mt, in various locations around the county.
The local authority has not revealed how much they will receive from the JC Decaux contract.
The council had originally said it would not have to apply for planning permission for each individual advertising structure as developments under a threshold of e126,000 are deemed to be exempt from requiring planning permission. The council has now confirmed that the proposed outdoor advertising contracts with both JC Decaux and Clear Channel will be subject to the planning process, which will involve a Part 8 approval being granted by the council for each of the proposed advertising structures,“ a spokeswoman said.
Part 8 planning applications are those made by a local authority to councillors for works such as roads and community centres.
Following consideration of submissions received from the public, the county manager presents a report to councillors for the approval of the scheme.
Councillors can then decide to accept or reject the proposed development, with or without variations or modifications.
However, decisions made by local authorities under the process can’t be subsequently appealed to An Bord Pleanála.

DUBLIN City Council is pushing ahead with a new multi- million-euro bridge over the River Liffey. It has invited “pre-qualification submissions” from contractors for the construction of the Marlborough St Public Transport Priority Bridge.
Contractors must submit their tenders by May 15 next.
The estimated value of the contract is from €8m to €12m, the tender documents say.
Last Autumn, the Council said construction was due to commence in late 2009, but it is being funded under the Transport 21 programme and it is not clear if this timetable is being adhered to.
