Top hung windows remain open just as easily as sid hung..
Top hung is a bit more susceptible to gravity I would have thought.

1.5.6 section d prohibits Horizontally hung windows below an escape window but I can’t see a reference to the Escape window itself.
The regs are generally common sense.
Logically I would avoid a top hung escape window as it will require effort to open & will not remain open.LOB

Anyone seen yet the pile of shite erected on the Mater Hospital grounds on the North Circular Road. It’s red brick painted white with timber cladding in places. Looks cheap and awful!
saw it a while ago-just couldn’t figure out why the brick was painted.

Participantwhere would you start the cutting? Harcourt street?
I think it would be a disaster for St Stephens Green & I’m not sure where it would link up with the other line as it is so close to the Liffey.LOB
ParticipantRoute B for me.
I like the link with Pearse Stn (DART/maybe Interconnector) & being able to go between Museum & the national Gallery/merrion square.
Traffic Chaos on Pearse Street during construction though.
Existing Railway bridge over Westland row would be a problem as well- AuthorPosts
