I think you should join the AAI and trot along to their lectures, frequently this ends with a trip to a local bar. It would be a good way to meet people from different firms.

I seem to remember a plan to detox and decomission a nuclear plant in Wales. A firm suggested a plan of planting to bring the complex back to nature while still respecting its form and purpose.

Folks, you’re getting bogged down in the minute details of a particular case: you need to look at the bigger picture – high density, how do we achieve it and still maintain a high quality of life?

There doesnt seem to be a picture of the Blackhall Place bridge design around?
I wish they would renovate the exterior of the Fish market. It’s not as exciting as the fruit and veg market, but its still a fine building. There are many good stone warehouses in the back lanes off Capel Street as well as the great victorian facades like Oman, and the closed Forsye and Foryse.
Actually, bungalows are the single greatest reason to license architects – and make it so every building project has to have a licensed architect.

There are two magazines:
Plan Magazine – more developer orientated and rather fawning.
Irish Architect – journal of the RIAI and not particularly exciting.
