I’ll try to get some pictures of buildings and pubs in the city before my reluctant return to (S)Huddersfield this week.
I will be climbing Scalp Mt tomorrow if the weather keeps up so there’ll be nice views of the city and Donegal from there!

I see politics plays a large part in what the third city of Ireland is.
I see it as Dublin, Belfast (cringes), Cork and Derry.
However, Limerick is a gorgous place, and has the same problem as Derry with pretty distasteful media coverage.

From what I’ve heard there is a £100 million development planned along the river front.
Also, I’ve read that 45% of the population is under 25, I’m assuming this will cause the city to expand at a huge rate.
A lot more (tasteful) development should be happening in the city as unemployment is quite ripe. The only job I could find this summer was in Mc Donald’s which I refused. So the people of Derry aren’t as lazy as usually thought, it seems that there isn’t enough employment to suit the population.
A developers paradise I would assume?
