Participanta metro stop should be near by like they’re planning to do in croke park. if this is included in the plans there will be less appeals to go through.

ParticipantIf the glazing was built on the other side of the gallery as well, it might have turned out better.

ParticipantIt would seem like Bishop Magee wants to be remembered for, literally, destroying the Cathedral not improving it. Does he not realise that people of Cobh don’t want their cathdral ‘reordered’?

ParticipantIreland is far from perfect but there’s no need to brand it as pathetic. a decade ago we couldn’t afford to move the port, or do a lot of things. I’m proud to be Irish, even if we have shite infastructure!

ParticipantSorry to go off the subject, but I was wondering about the re-ordering in St. Mel’s Cathedral in Longford. I saw a photo of it the other day and was thinking about what they must have done to the interior.

ParticipantThanks Praxiteles, but I was wondering about the medieval frescos as seen in the pictures of the Rock of Cashel. It doesn’t seem like the centuries have been good to them. sorry for not making myself clear 😮

ParticipantDoes anyone know if the frescos in Cashel are going to be restored?

ParticipantDid anyone see Capital D on RTE1? Couldn’t they use the underground tunnel as part of the new metro for Dublin? I was also thinking why couldn’t they build a kind of Luas for Cork City?

ParticipantVery nice!

ParticipantI have to say that I was amazed when I saw City Hall in Dublin a few months ago. When I saw the building in photos, I thought it looked a little squat. I was totally unprepared in how big and beautiful it is in real life. It’s definitely one of my favourite buildings now!

ParticipantWhy don’t they build the stadium outside of Dublin and the suburbs? These areas already have traffic problems, so why add to it? We all know that the nearby residents are going to complain, which I don’t mind as long as they have good reason to, which is going to raise the cost AGAIN. So they could save a lot of time and money if they build it somewhere else.

ParticipantThanks, Thomond. It’s good to know about the report and it’s conclusion.
Sorry for taking the point off of the Navan-Kells’ line if I annoyed anyone. 🙂Boyler
ParticipantThe Western Corridor is needed for commuters to Galway, for example. People need other modes of transportation besides using cars or buses. While I do agree that the Navan and Kells’ line is the more important issue of the two due to the bigger population in the area, the Corridor is also needed soon
.Boyler
ParticipantThe government should also hurry up and reopen the Western Corridor. It is badly needed and would help envoirnmentally and visually.

ParticipantLooks great!! You’re right, it does look like a development in another country, possibly Mediterranean region?
Boyler
ParticipantI know Galway had trams in the nineteenth to early twentith centuries.
