Hi guys, I’m new to this forum and new to Ireland as well.
In brief: I have receveid 2 offer from 2 large firms in Dublin, the first one is Douglas Wallace, and the second one is RKD.
Now I have decide where to go.
Both the firms are involved in various fields, altough RKD seems to be involved in more than D.W. (e.g. Industrial, Healthcare, Education).
I am not interested particularly in a sector, the most important thing to me is gain a good experience and learn as much as possible.
From this point of view D.W. seems to be the best place, considering their international team of young architects and ” Each employee is required to complete twenty hours of Continuous Professional Development annually with all employees being encouraged to attend courses and seminars given by relevant professional bodies. Staff members are actively involved in the Design Ireland Skillnet, a multi-disciplinary design industry training initiative. Regular staff site visits are organised and Safe Pass training is a pre-requisite for all staff.
External speakers are regularly invited to contribute to the company¹s series of Knowledge Seminars.
” as written in their website.
So,
– considering that I am an Italian architect with 4 years exp
– that the salary would be the same
– that I don’t speak english very well
which place do you suggest I should choose?
Thanks to anyone in advance.
